The Pokémon Company have revealed that they are working on a new smartphone game entitled Pokémon Co-Master with a debut trailer being aired on The Pokémon Company’s Japanese YouTube channel.
The newest instalment in the Pokémon franchise is to be co-developed with Heroz Japan. With not much being known about this project other than what can be seen from the trailer, Pokémon Co-Master looks to be a chess-like board game that is scheduled to be released in Japan later on this year.
Heroz Japan are a development team that specialise in AI development and have previously worked on Chess Heroz, a free-to-play online chess game.
Whether or not Pokémon Co-Master is to arrive before the highly anticipated AR game Pokémon GO, or if it to be released outside of Japan is still unconfirmed.
